Small Trials collects as little as possible. Most of what you write in our tools never leaves your device.
The short version
Your Loop Check answers and your trial notes stay in your browser. We never receive them.
If you sign up for emails, we receive your email address, the pattern you chose and where you found us.
If you fill in the optional day-4 check-in, we also receive your two scores, whether you ran the trial and, if you add it, one line about what happened.
If you buy a trial, our payment partner handles the payment. We receive your name, email address and order details.
We don't sell your data, we don't use advertising cookies and we don't use analytics tools.
Small Trials is a brand of Thuja Training CommV, the data controller for this website and our emails.

Privacy questions: hello@smalltrials.com
| What | Data | Why | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Loop Check and the companion tool | Nothing. Your answers and notes are processed and saved only in your own browser. | So the tool works without an account. | Not applicable: we receive nothing. |
| Email sign-up | Email address, the pattern you chose (for example "people-pleasing"), the source link you came from, date of sign-up. | To send the free trial you asked for and related emails, and to learn which content brings people to the Loop Check. | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time. |
| Day-4 check-in (optional) | Which trial, whether you ran it, your predicted and actual scores (0-10 or a count), an optional extra number, an optional one-line note, whether we may share it anonymously, and the date. | To show you your own gap, to see whether the free trials work, and, only if you tick the box, to share your result anonymously as a reader run. | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time. |
| Email activity | Whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. | To see whether the emails are useful and to stop sending what isn't. | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time. |
| Your replies | Anything you choose to write back. | To answer you and improve the trials. | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). |
| Purchases | Name, email address, country, product, price, order number, refund status. We never see your card details. | To deliver your trial, give support and handle refunds. | Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)). |
| Website hosting | Technical data your browser sends, such as IP address, in server logs kept by our host. | To deliver the pages securely. | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)). |
Please don't send us health information by email or in the check-in. Small Trials is education, not therapy or diagnosis, and we don't need it to help you.
We only use service providers who need the data to do their job. They process it on our instructions under a data processing agreement, except the payment partner, who acts as seller of record.
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (for certified providers) or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We never sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
We don't use tracking or advertising cookies, and no analytics tools. The companion tool uses your browser's local storage to remember your notes on your device. That's needed for the tool to work, and we can't read it.
